I have been training horses professionally for more than 30 years. I have a broad range of experience including colt starting, rehabbing problem horses, training and showing western pleasure, roping, reining and reined cowhorses. I have enjoyed successfully showing horses across the western half of the United States and Canada with numerous futurity, derby, and open competition championships including the 2000 NRHA Intermediate Open Derby Champion and Reserve Champion. I have also developed a successful youth and non pro program with numerous world and national champions.
My training philosophy is "Take Your Time and Compromise". Taking your time produces a solid finished product and you have to compromise because horses won't all fit into the same mold. I also believe variety keeps a horses mind fresh which contributes to their longevity.

I was born in Idaho and had never ridden a broke horse until I married Kim Wagoner. Oh, I had my choice of horses. Sixty eight head of registered Quarter Horses, and registered paints. Daddy would always say, "take that one-it's broke." My 1st picture on a horse I was in diapers-cloth-his name was Old Sox.
I am the middle of three girls, and grew up milking 50 head of milk cows, bucking hay, cattle drives, and everything that goes with ranching. I went to college at U. of U. and I.S.U. as a P.E. major. Taught school for 4 years, seven years in advertising, and worked for Anheuser Busch for several years. Kim and Shane trained a few horses for my folks, and our parents were friends for 25 years before Kim and I were married 20 years ago.
I was on the Dodge National Finals Rodeo committee the first four years it existed, and five other rodeo committees. My arena experience was limited to Halter, and team penning before I married Kim, and I've reined a bit since we've been married. We raised 2 girls and 1 boy who have all had their hands on horses, I love my life and love a good broke horse, since I now know what one is.
